But the system is in full readiness state with no fault codes. Wouldn't an airbag light throw a re-settable code? The ODB2 adapter and app normally work great because I've used it before to diagnose misfires (which cyl), reset light and look for it to come back after moving coils, etc. I scanned for codes using this and found nothing. I have an ELM327 OBD2 wifi adapter and Dash Command app for iPhone. So presumably I find a loose connection and fix it, will the light go off? That could make sense because when it went off my wife was in the passenger seat, and she's usually not because we take her car normally when traveling as a family (tough to get a 2 1/2 yr old in the back of a 2 door car!). I was doing some searching and some posts refer to checking the wiring harness under the seats.
Yesterday the airbag warning light came on my 2007 GTI (79k on the odo).
